It is to do with the Alfa wiring not being an ISO standard. So if someone has fitted an after market stereo without rewiring the harness at the back then you get the symptoms you describe.

I cannot remember off hand but it is to do with the yellow and red wires going into the back of the stereo. There is a simple guide on the http://forum.alfa156.net/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID...

on mine, if you leave the radio on it turns off after 20 mins, then when you next turn on the ignition the radio comes on with ignition

never had any problems with battery performance, my wife uses it so i'm quite sure if she could break it she will, she only does short journeys, 4-5 miles at a time with air-con up full bung and lights always on because she hasn't turned them off since the last time i did. the electric windows also work for a time after you turn the ignition off too.

Right there is a setting on the radio to come on and off with the ignition if you press the menu button then scroll 2 or 3 times (i cant remeber) there is a setting you can turn off / on i think its called ignition delay. Any way this solved the problem for me now just to connect the bluetooth kit to the phone and all gadgets will be in working order
