Afla 159 1.9jtdm current consumption 25mpg??

Just a thought but the air filter is an absolute s
t to access and as a result may have been "accidently" forgotten. Might be worth popping a good quality one in giving it an absolute caning (or alternatively a good forty minutes on a motorway in fourth, if you can bear it). I don't know what your daily drive is like, but the 159 shares the same engine as the Vectra and is set up to run at 80mph on the motorway all day. If your just town driving it might just need an Italian tune.
Stick a double dose of Millers diesel fuel additive in beforehand, mine really liked it.

Interesting, thanks. So really it's pointless me looking at the consumption when test driving because chances are it's just been out on short distances. I do a lot of miles so economy is fairly important to me, I've read that on a long run I can expect high 40s so I guess I'll have to stick with that & trust that the car in question is running ok subject to my basic driving & listening checks

If it checks out mechanically mate just buy it. They are an absolute delight to drive and own....I had mine for eighteen months and the worst thing that happened was a blown headlamp bulb....and I still looked over my shoulder as I walked away from it on the last day gorgeous cars!!smileymikey said:
