Hi all...I have never owned an Alfa...but I fancy obe...either a V6 GTV....or I quite like the look of the 156...amd the fact that it has 5 seats....can the 156 be made to handle exceptionally well?...like a Porsche?..

GT V6s are getting quite cheap and have loads more usable space than a GTV. I recommend a Q2 diff to improve handling. Pure handling I'd conceed to the porker. Probably.

The V6 has an awesome soundtrack but in all honesty its just too much weight up front for regular track work.

Stiffer springs, whiteline/eibach ARB will help but a well set up 2.0TS would still out do it on a twisty track.

If you are looking at an occasional track toy then it would be great fun but you will get through brakes and tyres at an alarming rate smile
