I cannot help - but had similar issues with my 156. After trawling the interweb, scraping my fingers and hand, and a damaged ego for not being able to change a bulb, I left it to a garage to fix...... and then within a month the other bulb went!!!

It is sheer stupidity the way they're built into the cluster. Had to phone in a mechanic to change a bulb which was quite embarrassing paperbag

i've noticed practically all cars built/designed after 2000 are nigh on impossible to work on for things like this. my 75? pull out the lead, fiddle about, new bulb in. my 164? the same. 156? wtf am i supposed to do with that?

There are large round caps on the back side of the headlights, they turn 45 degrees and fall off allowing access to the bulbs, I pulled the shield off the washer bottle in my 156 to give me a bit more room, the 147 must be fairly similar.

Once you have done it once its fairly simple to do!

As said above there is a black cap which needs to be unscrewed. Pull the leads out & replace the bulb.

Biggest tip ever is to get the small mirror thing from your wifes hand bag & have a butchers!!!!

I second the mirror tip, makes it so much easier you'll kick yourself that you ever attempted it without one.

The sidelight bulbs can be a pain but they really aren't that bad to change after you've done a few.
