Spider S4 speedo

Hi, hope someone in here can help with some advise. A friend has asked about the speedo on his S4 Spider. Up to around 30mph it seems OK but really struggles to get much above that. It doesnt drop down, jump up or stick. Does it sound familiar? Can anyone recommend me somewhere to repair ?
