XCarlink and standard Blaupunkt stereo help, please!
Discussion
Hi, all
I've successfully fitted the XCarlink to my Alfa 147, but I cannot get the bluetooth module to power up. I have read that this could be due to the stereo not having scanned for sources yet (possibly due to this being a replacement for a previously installed official iPod connector). Before I get onto XCarlink for a replacement for a faulty unit:
Is there any way I can force the stereo into doing a magazine scan? I used to be able to do this by clearing the TPM on my Croma, which also had a Blaupunkt head unit. The 147's doesn't seem to have that function in the menu, but I was wondering if there was something like a sequence of buttons to press that would perform the same function.
Any help appreciated.
Many thanks

Sorted it. I ignored the missive to "ensure that everything is OFF before connecting..." Connected the XCarlink main box with the power off, switched on the stereo and waited for it to play from the iPod, then connected the micro USB for the BlueTooth module.
Cue; windows down and Black Sabbath!
