I won this cheeky chappy on eBay...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300899739413?ssPageName=...

...and will be collecting the car tomorrow.

A bit of a shed but there's potential. Clean the crap off, fix any issues and give the car a fresh M.O.T just in time for Summer and hopefully a small profit. According to "How many left" there are a hundred and twenty eight on the road and thirty four declared SORN so the future classics market is well within my cross hairs. If not sell it to a student who will ruin it all over again. With second hand roofs selling for £100 and the wheels are worth £50 I can't lose, can I?

I was about to be amazed by the only 120 left, but then i spotted the sunroof, and realized its a soleil.

Anywhoo, good job picking that up, hope you can succesfully un-ruin it, because it looks a bit crap right now, especially for a soleil (i can sort of justify the boy-racer black bonnet on a sporting, but a soleil? those things are meant for elderly ladies :P )

I know, it's a Chavesty. Hopefully the tat will sell as I have a shed full of Guff (my racing Cinquecento) bits to replace it I won't be spending much on it. wink

The rescue will have to wait until I can get a recovery dolly to pick the car up. My mate with a van (Kev and the van of death) said it wouldn't be a problem but the chap who owns the towing frame has lent it out to someone and forgotten who. silly

I have a new radiator ready to fit and get the car home but I'm a one man army and can't drive two cars home. rolleyes

One person can easily get two cars home. Drive the collection address for the little Fiat. Drive little Fiat 1/4 mile up the road and park up. Walk back for your current car. Drive that 1/4 of a mile past the little Fiat. Walk back for little Fiat and drive that 1/4 of a mile past your current car....

Eventually you'll be home and won't have wasted anyone else's weekend. Genius smile

This would actually be slower then walking to the pick up point and driving the fiat home beer

I always feel safer inside my car as opposed to walking the streets when carrying large amounts of cash though smile
