Might seem like a stupid question, but here goes nothing!

I have a 59 plate 159 Sportwagon and if I press and hold the unlock button on the fob, then all the windows go down.

However, they don't close again when I press and hold the lock button on the fob.

This seems nonsensicle to me as I then have to get in the car and put the key in to close the windows - kind of defeats the object!

Is this right? Or should they close up again when I press and hold the lock button?

Thanks.

On early cars you could use the remote for up and down. On later models you can only make the windows go down.
Why, I don't know. I wonder if Alfa Examiner would allow your car to be reprogrammed?

As above, they only go down, AFAIK it was because a kid got neck stuck in the window or something, not 100% sure that's the reason, sure I read it somewhere.

2006 Croma: windows up AND down via remote. 2008 147: down only. You're not alone. wink As for the kid getting their head stuck: surely the "anti- kid getting head stuck" device would kick in, exactly the same as if the switches in the car were used?
