Fiat grande punto 1.4 turbo

I been looking at the prices of these for a few months. Seem good value & decent performance for the cost.

Does anyone own one or have had one? What are your thoughts? Mpg etc etc

I own a T-Jet. Pretty nippy, 35-38mpg city ang 40-45mpg on the motorway.Insurance is pretty cheap too.

Wifey has one - great little car - handles really well and very comfortable. Its on option 17" wheels and Eibach springs, which helps a lot, but makes it a little jiggly (although nothing to worry about - acceptable trade-off for sharper cornering)

Performance is best described as "nippy" - its punchy in the midrange, but lacks any top end grunt because the turbo is tiny

However, you might want to consider the 1.9 JTDm sport - same bhp, but with lots of turbo grunt from low down. Easily mappable to 150+ and of course you'll see an easy 50mpg
