Hi fellow Alfa people,

I thought I would put this put this out there and see what response I got.

I am getting married in July at a venue in surrey, we don't have a wedding car as we don't need to travel anywhere on the day, but we would love to have a nice car for the photos.

Being a big Alfa fan, I thought a classic Alfa would fit the bill. In a perfect world it would be a Guilia GTA, but any of the 105 coupes would be amazing. In fact any classic Alfa would be great.

The car would just need to be parked for photos and we won't need to be taken anywhere in it. I wouldn't expect anyone to do it for free, if you pm me we can discuss what would be a reaone fee smile .

Looking forward to any responses . Jimmy

Thanks Sunbeam, very generous of you to offer and your cars are lovely!

1 thing comes to mind, your profile says you live in belgium? It would be a bit of a drive if that is the case.

It will also be on a weekday, which i realise will make it more difficult for people!

Jimmy, just an idea, what do you think of the Giulietta spiders?

I think they look stunning and might be a bit more wedding-y than a 105 series.

If your paying get on some of the owners clubs, classic Alfa club maybe and try your luck.

Good luck!

Giulietta spiders are stunning cars, that would be lovely to have in the pic. I see your point about them being more wedding-y.

I will put a thread up on the alfaowner forum too, good suggestion.

With regards to paying, i am not looking for someone who does wedding cars for a business, as we don't really need a wedding car. My thinking was that i could come to an agreement with someone where they felt it was worth going out for a few hours in the afternoon, but also wasn't going to be a big spend for me. This will obviously differ for different people.

I am in Belgium, but come back to the UK at least once a month to visit friends & family. Originally thought I could combine it with one of those trips.

A weekday is not the biggest problem - what is the date? I'm less than an hour from the tunnel, and a day return is pretty cheap. I've just had a look and I reckon I could get a car over to Surrey (and back) for about £150 crossing and fuel, although some days are already sold out.

If you don't get any better/nearer offers, drop me a pm or post back on here.

P.S. I also looked at your profile, and saw that you're in Surrey, so my calculation is based on that. smile

P.P.S. We'll be in the UK anyway for a university reunion on weekend of 5/6 July (probably with the Spider). We'll be travelling over either on 3rd or 4th.

Yeah I understood the payment idea you had in mind, the key I think will be getting someone local (and nice enough!). I thought the Giulietta would be a bit more 'photogenic' than a 105 series, even as pretty as the 105 series is the Giulietta, to me at least, is visually far more striking.

Perhaps keep an eye out at local classic events, so go to the biggest and have a scout around, then ask them there if they'd be up for it. Fingers crossed!

Have you though about dropping a message at the Giulietta register?

http://www.giuliettaregister.com/

very helpful people who may be able to put you into contact with the right car!

My 105s are in bits at the moment and other Alfas are too modern for you!
