As per the title, I oull as far as it'll come back and nothing...

Any ideas how to fix this?

I have the same issue. Been trying to solve it but not yet succeeded. Try pulling the lever with your right hand and crane your left towards the trailing edge of the bonnet to prise it open at the same time. Works for me until I find a permanent solution.

Mine has a second cable as a back up. It is attached to the lever but I think you would pull it with a pair of pliers. Might be worth checking.

Yep should have a second wire, just next to the plastic handle in the footwell, to pull in case of failure of the first.
