Hi

Was about to buy a 15 plate Mito Twin Air QV line and the 1st owner had it serviced at 12000 miles and 21 months. That is 3000 miles and 9 months later than the schedule.

I have spoken to a main dealer and they say that this would only affect warranty items if it was deemed to be related to the late service.

Run away?

Personally I would leave this one on the basis that it probably hasn't been cared for, it adversely affects remaining warranty and its not exactly a rare car so there should be plenty more good ones to choose from.

Assuming the service includes oil, this wil also include the rather intricate multi-air cam/valvetrain, next to off course every other rotation bit in the engine depending on oil for lubrication. I dont know of any specific weakness in these lumps, but theoretically the engine could grenade itself within 5 miles and you'd be left with no recourse.

Id avoid it
