211FMX, Lancia Montecarlo
Discussion
Many years ago, my pal owned a Lancia Montecarlo (Series 1, 1978 reg) 211FMX.
When he bought it, the car had been partially restored, but had been through the hands of a number of people and led a fairly eventful life. At one stage it was the subject of some dispute over work done etc, and "recovered" in the middle of the night from a car compound.
In the late 80's the car was pretty much totalled in a collision in Leeds.
At this time, it was white with a red velour interior and Martini stripes (actually from a 924 Porsche!) along each side.
Imagine my surprise when I checked the 'plate against the MoT database and found it had been used very recently, this time showing as a blue Montecarlo.
I'd be grateful if anyone could point me in the direction of the current owner. We've got loads of old photos and stories to tell, and would be interested in buying the car back (on the assumption it's the same vehicle!).
Thanks in advance,
Mickyveloce
