Whilst I don’t find the seats themselves uncomfortable the driving position is compromised on account of being bolt upright. The tilt function allows only an inch or so of rearward travel, yet the seats will tilt forwards enough to allow access to the non existent rear seats. Lunacy.
Is there a fix or is driving around say like a 1950’s boarding school pupil the only way?

Manually adjust the seat bolts. You can tilt the seat base back providing support for the legs more which is quite popular. There should be 3 levels to adjust but you can also tilt it back.Is there a fix or is driving around say like a 1950’s boarding school pupil the only way?

I was never a fan of the 'gangsta' driving positon where your balls are higher than your chin

What did you go with?
I came close. I offered on the black Spider that was for sale a while ago, having been for sale at Morgan in the summer. Having agreed a sale, seller reneged as he got a higher offer. Then was offered a tempting deal on an unregistered car.
To be honest I drove a pals coupe to reaffirm I wanted one enough to justify buying new. My initial experience, driving one for the first time earlier this year, back to back with my S1 Elise, left me cold. I didn't like the steering, nor the ride quality. My generous pal loaned me that car which I went on to use for a month.
Extended usage changed my view of the car completely. The looks are captivating, it's Infinity War on 4 wheels. I like the power and the economy and the glorious contrast of genius and idiocy. They heat the door mirrors but not the rear screen! The car is made from lightweight carbon fibre and clad in composite to keep weight down, yet the spider engine cover is apparently made from lead and weighs over 15kg. Trick tft dash panel yet a 1990's aftermarket CD with an after thought sound system.
That longer usage convinced me I wanted one, but a few weeks ago I tried the same pals coupe having not driven one since May. I was left with a horrible feeling of uncertainty. I found the ride brittle, the driving position uncomfortable and the steering totally inert. I don't think I'm comfortable being in one at mid £40's. Prices have risen a fair bit this year, though what next year holds is anyone's guess.
I'm still checking the classifieds. Some of the cars on AT have been for sale well over 3 months now. I saw the 783 miles yellow spider Sytner had is showing sold (advertised at 40,500) I'd still buy one, conscious I'd likely appreciate it more following my previous experience. But I haven't got enough love to be buying in the £40's.
