Many years ago my good friends 130 coupe was sent to a garage for a bit of engine work. 2 yrs later it was still in bits & the engine had disappeared.
I now have it in storage & we are deciding what to do with it. It is really solid but has sufferred.
Now seems unlikely to find an original engine specially at a reasonable price.
Anybody aware of an engine swap ?
Alfa V6.........ls7..........

You can just about make anything fit with enough time and money. The question has to be is it really worth it with a 130. Even mint original ones are not worth a great deal so the best option must be find a complete rust bucket for spares.

True but too good to let waste so i can either leave it in the garage. Yes rustbucket might be a good option.

I'd say it's absolutely worth it! The 130 coupe is a really nice looking, and now rare, car, and if you could get an Alfa 24v v6 into it, it would be a fantatic grand touring car.

You need something like this:-

Would be a cool road-trip to collect it too.

Perfect, needs a bit of tidying up but it's not silly money. Nothing to lose there. Worst case you can sell the lot and not lose any money, at least it's technically a complete car then even if the engine isn't in.

That's an incredible find. Even for a rebuild it's cheap.

I used Italian Ebay quite a lot when I had my old Mexico, best place to find rare parts off rare old Italian cars. thumbup
