Morning, all.

I do the same thing everyday which is drive to work, park up and manually fold my mirrors in. But today the passenger mirror snapped which was a great start to the day! It looks to be the plastic that has given up but I'll inspect and take pictures later.

Could I just glue the plastic back on? It still swivels or should I not be a cheap skate and get it replaced? curse

From my own experiences of trying to fix a snapped MiTo mirror I ended up having to have the whole mirror replaced as the part wasn't accessible /fixable (memory fades) YMMV

Ebay for secondhand ones.

Lots listed at 60GBP and new too.

They won't be OEM quality but good enough.

Surely you should be asking if you can sue the guy who sold it to you in the first place, that's how most of these threads seem to go these days

you might need to remove the door card to fit a whole mirror ,I don't know the car.

Should be able to fit as an amateur but depends on what tools are needed.

An amateur can fit a replacement
Parts may be available from a wrecker/breaker in your colour depending on what’s broken

Wing mirrors break in all cars

The 156 wing mirror had a spring hinge made of two dissimilar metals that corroded and broke, requiring the replacement of the whole mirror. Or replacement from decent breaker and snap fit the coloured outer cap.

YouTube/google/or AlfaOwnerUK forum will probably turn up a DIY follow by numbers repair.
Or you could document your journey with a smile for the next poor bd addicted to Alfa’s wink
