Pilot Sport 4S all the way! 295/30 fit on the rear. I was reluctant to switch from the OEM tyres and was contemplating winters in addition to the Corsas. Michelins are so much better in the wet. Atm still have Corsas on front but will switch to the Michelins when worn. Only decision on the front is whether to stick with 245/31 as per Corsa or go 255/31 so profile looks same front and rear

Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersports are getting good reviews for Q.V.,
Very good in wet, and available in correct/original size.
Porsche also putting this tyre on new 911s
I'm using the Goodyear F1 Eagle SuperSport and I'm very pleased. Couldn't get the right sizes in the UK has to import the tyres. Very good in wet, and available in correct/original size.

I've switched to Michelin Pilot Super Sport, which come in the right sizes.
Only on the front for now. They're vastly better when cold (edit: i mean not just cold weather, but cold tyres, including in warm weather) or damp, but it must be said some razor-like precision is lost in the process. I certainly hope they'll last more...

I was going to take the new Pirelli's off mine for the winter and put them back on in the spring, where by the sounds of it they will then be worn out in time for the following winter.
I thought Michelin were the only realistic choice, so interesting to read that Goodyear are also an option. Can anyone point me in the direction of where they are seeing various feedback on these.

Goodyears appear towards the end.
I put winters on mine last year, Alpin, and will be doing the same again.
Forget the corsas when it’s cold and wet, and great to get rid of the skipping as well.

Interesting read - well, I skimmed it, i'm not reading all that lot!
I think I may just put on the Michelins that they do in the correct size. I can't say i'm over bothered that it's not their very latest compound. I found out my mate has them on his QV and they have been absolutely fine, both in summer and winter.

After much reading and soul searching, I went with the Corsas again. I had initially planned to change, primarily due to only getting 8000 miles from the last set.
I didnt find the winter performance too much of an issue. Not sure I'd be pushing it much harder on different rubber, 500+bhp in the wet a handful regardless of rubber.
