Giulia Quadrifoglio brakes
Discussion
Hey all,
Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere, tried searching but didn’t throw up many results.
Picking up a used Giulia Quadrifoglio next week, just an incredible car... with the only exception of the brakes, which seemed pretty spongy.
Anyone on here have any experience with this and whether something like a simple brake pad swap out might make a difference?
Thanks in advance everyone, it’s going to be a long week!

Sounds like a problem.
My Quadrifoglio brakes are very firm and just get better the harder you push.
Did a number of fast laps in a Stelvio Quadrifoglio at Goodwood last year (same brakes on a heavier car) and the brakes were completely consistent and very good lap after lap. This car was being used all day and the brakes stood up to it no problem.
They shouldn't be spongy.

As has been said already that just doesn't sound right. I test drove a couple of QF's, Giulia and Stelvio, and have had my Giulia QF for two years now and the brakes are one of the strong points. My previous car, for comparison, was an SLK55 AMG and both cars brakes are progressive, powerful and reassuring in feel.
I have the standard steel discs and have been told, by Alfa dealer, that the optional carbon discs dont work at their best until they warm up a bit. Still shouldn't be spongy though.
