Brake Pads for Giulia Veloce
Discussion
I'm afraid I must confess to something which will cost me a few bloke points.
Having driven company cars for the thick end of twenty years and moved onto an allowance last year which led to me purchasing my Giulia Veloce I have never really had to worry about anything mechanical. It's always been a case of chucking my keys on a service desk and saying "do what needs to be done, it's on account with Lex/Lloyds/TCH Leasing etc."
As I'm now getting towards 21k miles and my front pads are getting that they'll need to be replaced before long I really don't know what the best replacement parts are and I don't want to just look online and go "These are in the top 20% for cost so they must be decent."
I also assume main dealers will be more expensive than local garages/Alfa specialists but I'd really appreciate some advice. I'm based in Leeds if that makes any difference. Cheers.

I (at least a local garage) replaced both rear discs and pads on my Veloce, using parts bought from the internet. Autodoc.com I think.
I saved about £100.00 on dealer quotes ( Piccadilly in my instance).
A colleague changed fronts and rears himself on his Speciale, again parts from Autodoc. We both used Brembo parts which are infinitely better than OEM.
Main thing to be aware of is there is a setting in the info system called Brake service, it winds back the rear calipers electrically. Without using that you will struggle against the electric handbrake. Fronts are easier apparently.
