Goodness gracious me, Used the Alfa for the 1st time in ages yesterday, on the way home the ECU (management light) came on as did all the other warnings (dashboard resembled a Xmas tree at one point)

Stopped the car, turned off the ignition, restarted all fine, got home, 15 minutes later car alarms going mental outside house, one of the neighbours is waving at me rather enthusiastically at me - i waved back, he then starts jumping up and down at me, go outside expecting to see some scrote breaking into the car and am confronted by a flaming wreck that used to resemble my immaculate 147 Selespeed....

Cars been picked up this morning but i'm guessing its a write off, firebrigade seem to think its an electrical problem, as behind the dash is a large molten void & the wiring loom resembles a lot of copper, stripped bare from the battery etc...

Incidentally i live in a private road and why is whenever there is firemen around there is always some fit blonde bird chatting up one of the firemen, dunno where she came from, but you would if you know what i mean :p

Tesco's, brilliant, picked the car up within the last half hour, efficient and very quick - will see how the claims process goes now...

In the house yes, but it was the car alarm going off that alerted the neighbours...

Not funny, but kind of funny was the way the car was trying to start itself once the fire got hold of the loom, as its floppy speed it was in gear and trying to escape out of the drive !!
