Hi Everyone - I've bought an 04 156 2.0 JTD before xmas - its been parked up for a week whilst I was away. I got into it yesterday and an error message ''Motor Control Failure - go to dealer'' came up (with the orange symbol (looks like a pump of some sorts)

Does anyone have an idea what it means. The dealer I bought it from is closed for new year. Wilsons in Epson - does anyone have any experiences with them - are there any good alternative indies in the New Malden / Kingston area.

Also (sorry about all the questions) did your cars come with one key? the dealer (who as you can guess I'm not too sure about) said that they only come with one.

There also seems to be a distinct lack of info with the car ie. a service manual and a radio guide?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Gareth

A 2.0 JTS or a 1.9 JTD?

re. keys. '04-vintage Alfas don't have a master key any more (the oft-quoted "Dark red key" of the 145/146 etc, etc); just the two "regular" keys AFAIK.

They're taking the píss then; you should have two black remote keys.

So JTS, right? Not a Selespeed is it?

Don't ever expect anything of the brakes, I suspect they'll always have lots of travel and very little feel - It's the reason I don't own a 156 JTD any more...............

Providing it drives ok, shouldn't be a problem to drive it. Might clear itself anyway.
