Spider (S4) Drinks Coolant like it's a good wine
Discussion
I wonder if anyone has any ideas for why.
I can see no leaks from any hoses or drips under the engine.
When I drive it there's no smoke out of the exhaust, when I remove the oil cap there's no cloudiness there!1
The level seems to drop even when the car is parked and engine cold.
When you do run the engine you can see the coolant moving through the header tank. All of the hoses between the thermostat and radiator get warm so I think there's a flow through the rad.
So any suggestions as to where/what I should check next??

Well.....It must be going somewhere either out or in
I had a similar problem with a different car, it turned out to be a hose to the rear of the engine, that was dripping down the back whilst under pressure when driving, but when I stopped it was no longer under pressure, so didn't come out, and consequently evaporated over the hot engine.....
Either that or it's early onset of headgasket problems, hopefully not but it's certainly going somewhere.

Hi, I would go to www.aroc-uk.com (Alfa Romeo owners club) and go into their forum for Spiders, they are a mine of important and useless knowledge.
