Seen one of these on the road today and it looks fantastic ; a check of the Fiat website reveals the 130bhp Sporting to be a real bargain even with leather and splendid orange paint !
Has anyone got one yet - if they go (and last) as well as they look Fiat have a real winner here .

There's a group test (which I haven't read properly yet) in Car magazine, and the Grande Punto comes top out of 18. Sounds promising.

Thumbup from me, I saw a bright orange one on the motorway recently, it didn't half look a bit like a maserati front end..

Well, not driven it yet but bought one for my lad. I must be bonkers and/or like the car, cos he can't drive. Ok, he's 17 on sunday, so it should be a laugh. Agreed, it looks great, makes other stuff in the same market eg new Clio look prematurely old. I'm hoping bodywork repairs will be reasonable...

Nice and safe though. When my boy is old enough I'll do my best to buy him, or at least assist funding a newer car. When I think about some of the sheds that I had when I passed my test thank heavens I never connected with anything.

Looked at the basic one at an launch night and seemed well put together and a lot more solid than my MK2 Sporting. I have not yet seen one in Sporting guise tho.

Waiting for the Abarth 200bhp version - Hopefully it will beat the Cilo 182 and new 197 as I dont wont to buy a frenchie!

Has anyone got any more info on the Abarth/HGT version and when it might be launched ?
