We sold an Alfa 156 1.8 last month, the guys only had for 3 days and a warning light appeared. After lots of visits to our local Alfa dealer in Chelmsford, they finally disgnosed the problem as the ECU. They cannot get suplly of this unit at all, even from Italy!!!

We're supllying the guy with a Loan Vehicle but Dealer nor Alfa Uk/Itlay supply us with a new ECU or give any indication. Does anybody know of anyone who can re-program this so i can get the guy back into car as quickly and as cost effective as possible??

We're at Alfa's mercy for the time being. After having a 20 minute discussion with Customer Services, i'm slowly losing the will to live.

I've got an email poised to go to Automotive Management, Auto Express etc etc................

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

Why not ring ATP or one of the ECU repair specialists, it's a Bosch unit
from memory Motronic 1.3 but it's no different to any of the others.
Do a Google on ECU repair & Test.

Am I right in thinking there's an Alfa-specific breaker in Leigh-on-Sea, so therefore not too far from yourself? Might be worth a look, assuming they can be swapped between cars.
