What are Alfa thinking? They launch a car that looks like a naked supermodel and use an ad that only shows it clearly for 5% of the screentime; the rest seems to be people just dicking about. They even shoot it somewhere I presume is trendy (Milan? Rome?) and make sure it is so wet and miserable it looks like Middlesborough.

I heard it in the background at least 3 times before I twigged it was a car ad and looked up from my book. Time for a new agency Alfa.

I'd buy one...

...but not necessarily from the advert though - although it's not as bad as you make out.

More to the point, what the hell is the Brera about. The initial concept was gorgeous but the production version (I know is heavily revised) just looks like it has a fat arse.

The GT is far more elegant...

You have to blame the nanny state we now live in. I mean you can`t smoke. drink, eat salt or fat Im sure it will soon be illegal to pick your nose, and these are the only pass times I have. Thats why advertisers arn`t alowed to show cars leaving traffic lights sidways or just shreading tyres for the fun of it. The only vehicles portrayed correctly are 4X4s as they are slow and without harming the passengers can become muddy.
So until the revolution we`ll have to put up with namby pamby arty ads.

The Brera is a sexy looking car but must admit when I saw the ad too I was disappointed...it was understated. That said with something like the Brera the kinda of folk that would buy it (or any alfa) -would buy it anyway..it just maynot draw attention to those that are unaware of it...

BTW Slightly off topic..Did anyone on here actually receive an invite/test drive for the 159 way back in Feb?! I got a call from dealership who were meant to send out invites..3 months later no invite..but thats always been the state of my local alfa dealership and even though its in new hands now they don't seem any more efficient....

You're right of course, it never occurred to me. Vive le revolution.
