New car: 156 Sportwagon 2.4 JTDm

Test drove it a fortnight ago, picked up Saturday (dealer pics):







Back in something italian after nearly 5 years of 106GTi ownership. New job, car allowance (hence needing something newish) and lots of miles expected. Couldn't bring myself to run a Mondeo or Golf or something with my own money!

Torquey as anything, rather a good noise, and the on-board computer reckoned 52.4mpg from the 220ish miles home - some fast A-roads, town driving and a stint along the M4. Diesel Alfas are still wrong in my mind but it's by far the least boring diesel estate I could think of!

Looks great - there's some talk of us getting a dog, so I'm half-looking to replace the GTV with something almost exactly like that.
