147 glovebox

Hi, does anyone know how to get the back off the glovebox hatch? The handles come off and they've told me i need a whole new one to fix it.

Yeah, mine's done the same. A right bugger, isn't it!

I did replace the screw behind it with my alien-like fingers, but that screw still came undone and fell into the sealed area so I can't retrieve it.

One thing I might do is drill a small hole through the handle and attach it from the front with a countersunk screw (and loctite it), then fill the hole with a trimmed down chrome cap of some kind so that it looks how it should.

Im trying a bolt in the handle and cutting the head off then no more nails.... will let you know how i get on.
