Can anyone tell me what the Aerokit is on the Alfa GTV and does it improve perfomance or handling, and finally how can I tell if the GTV has one? Its a Phase 2 1999 if that helps

Full aerokit is the large rear spolier on the bootlid and also a vertical spoiler under the front valance.

Makes a marginal difference to top speed on the V6. Not sure how much difference (if any) it makes to the TS.

It is supposed to cut drag(the rear wing tidies up the airflow over the back) and front end lift a little bit, it is alleged to add 5 mph to the top speed of the V6.

Aerokit: (NB this is actually a Cup car, so also has side skirts and front wing vents)

No aerokit:

For comparison, my car has just the rear wing rather than the full aerokit:

I can attest to the fact that Alfa's claimed v.max for the V6 (with wing) is indeed correct @ 155mph
Seeing as how it's geared for ~180mph at the redline in 6th it's the drag that's the limiting factor.

I have never tried to max out my GTV but I am perfectly willing to believe that it will do 155 mph based on how quickly it accelerates at somewhat slower speeds.

The last few are painfully slow to aquire! So much so that the biggest number I could register in the space available at Bruntingthorpe was 142 (measured, indicating 150+) versus an indicated value on a longer private test facility of "off the clock and deep into the black". A bit of beer mat mathematics yields the actual figure of ~155.

Cheers guys, I guess as it is on a 2.0TS it probably is pretty much to enhance its looks.
