Grande Punto - Any Good?
Discussion
Hi Guys
I'm after a runabout second car and the fab 0% deals on at the moment make the Grade Punto a very attractive proposition.
Every "competitive" dealer I talk to says ..unreliable etc etc.
So..are they? It looks a great little car at a great proce so wondering what ownership would be like?
Thanks
Gary

Bought a brand new Fiat Grande 1200 Punto in November last year...
From week one had one inch of rainwater in the drivers footwell if left on the drive overnight during hard rain...(Turns out it was a faulty weld in the engine compartment)
Failure of drivers door motor, locking me into the car,
had to scramble out of the passenger door for three weeks....(Not much fun if you are an 80 year old old biddy).....This is a known problem I was told, Fiat have now changed suppliers...
New complete steering rack had to be fitted.....(rattled like mad going over cobbles etc)
Now sold.
I must add I loved the car, it was good looking, FUN to drive but has put me off Fiats despite having another three brand new ones in the previous ten years, all trouble free and fun to drive....
