I'm looking to work on the engine but want to increase power etc.
Can anyone advise what can be done? Bored out and new pistons? Different cam? Induction Kit?
I'm in between sheffield and nottingham so can take the block anywhere in that area.
I don't want a massive increase but something that will make it a little different. At present it sounds like a big end has gone aswell as there being an issue with the combustion on one piston. Further investigation needs to take place and I will start that when the Chimaeras back on the road in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks in advance.

What you want to do depends on what you want to end up with and how much you want to spend.
It sounds like the bottom end needs to be rebuilt. If money is no problem you could do a lot worse than look at AHM motorsport http://www.ahmotorsports.co.uk/
They can get about 250bhp out of a N/A twin spark, but it will cost you and you'll end up with basically a race engine.
Alternativley you could look at the (slightly) cheaper option of turbocharging Autodelta conversions give quite impressive gains. http://www.autodeltashop.com/ you should be able to get 220bhp. The good news is it will be very reliable.
Hope that this will give you a few ideas.
