Tried to lock the car last night and nothing happened. Spare key doesn't work either - for both the red LED flashes when any of the buttons are pressed, but nothing happens.

Can't work out how to get into the keyfob to change the battery. Does it simply prise open with a screwdriver? Once I've replaced the battery, does the key need to be reprogrammed to the car or is it simply a case of a new battery? Its probably all in the manual which is 50 odd miles away now.. irked

If you look in the channel the key folds into there is a slot head screw. Undo that and the battery pulls out in a little tray.
