Alfa & BMW merger???
Discussion
Interesting article in Autocar last week about the possible link up between the two,(Chris Harris)
I could see some benefits from the engineering advances from the Germans, but is it all just part of the slippery slope towards just one worldwide car manufacturer, & therefore a very bad thing?

BMW robbed Mini off Rover, what do they want from Alfa????
There will never be an Alfa with BMW build quality!
A solid Alfa would be dull...
Maserati are close, but not exactly for the working man are they!
Having said that i'd never buy a new Alfa, regardless of wealth, so my thoughts are not with the good of the company to heart.

I often get BMWs as hire cars from work, so I've driven a few different types for relatively long distances on all types of roads. They don't really do much for me, and I'm always happy with the difference when I get back into my 156. I'm not saying BMWs aren't a good drive, I just prefer my Alfa in almost all areas and wouldn't want it to lose it's identity and become anothe Eurobox.
