Did a photoshoot for one of the classic magazines the other day, so got round to giving the Lancia a bit of a clean for once smile

I owned the last 8.32 to be featured in c&sc, G386SGT, wasn't mine at the time though. Had some fun with it but surely the Lotus will just eat it alive, not really a fair comparison

Oh, entirely different cars performance wise.

The comparison is more about large manufacturers using their sports/supercar wing to spice up an otherwise dull model.

In those terms, they are very similar, conceptually.

Was that the three car Thema test a few years ago?

The test in c&sc was with three Themas, the 8.32, a Turbo 16V and a left hand drive 3.0 V6 (Alfa V6). The conclusion was that the 3.0 V6 was the best all round - same interior as 8.32, similar sound, not much less performance and much cheaper to maintain. Ironically the 16V Turbo is faster than both of them but not got that big car sound
