Ive sold my trusted E30 325i I restored which was my daily hack and now have the above to use its come from the in laws and has a genuine 46K on the clock serviced every 6mths 1-2k miles.

So the cars fine mechanicaly and its ecomical another good thing for this economic climate not that Im that bothered about that as my daily hack gets charged to the company.

The reason for the thread I just breaked in the wet and the tyres slid along on the road I was only doing about 30 officer.... Honest !!

So Ive just been looking of fleabay and various other sites and thought new tyres and why Im about it get those C*** wheels off with clip on trims and get some alloys.

Bearing in mind its a 1.2 and I dont want look like a chav... and I dont ruin the handling as Im not going to be throwing money at this like my E30. That would would be the best size rims? 15" or 16" ?

The cars like a metalic merlot red if you now what I mean I was thinking of something like this

what do you reckon?

All feedback appreciated, I dont think it would take a 17" with a deep lip

Though I wouldnt want to pay £550 for new anchors for a £1000 - £1500 car

But then I could get a second hand set.....
