I used to use these guys:

Very knowledgeable, lots of second hand parts. I think the former owner, Mike Buckler, has now retired, but they are worth a try.

I use SPM in Byfleet. Not Alfa specialists per se, but extremely good technically and great customer service. They do all the work on my 147 twinspark, and have always done a great job, and I am always surprised at the low prices when I get the bill. Call Steve Munday on 01932 356128.
They always have other interesting cars in the workshop.
And yes, the local Guildford dealer is shocking, in my experience.

I too receommend Rusper. Also try Bianco Auto near Gatwick. www.bianco-alfa.com
Try Wayne at EMC Racing in Reigate, specialises in 75's, SZ's and GTV's but caters for all Alfa's...

I'm now on my forth Alfa, and having used most of the Indy's around Surrey/ Sussex, I wouldn't go anywhere other than MDZ in Charlewood. They are very knowledgeable, friendly and don't rip you off. When I was there last year, they were working on the switches within a selespeed box, which the main dealer couldn't figure out. I've been putting together a website for them recently, so you can get the details from there:

There's Ken Bell (Alfanatic) in Fleet.
I have a very low opinion of the main dealer in Guildford (Bishops).
Ken Bell your nearest, and is excellent,I can highly recommend him.I have a very low opinion of the main dealer in Guildford (Bishops).
I have just been there with the 155 today coincidentally.
Update: Ken Bell is now semi retired.....taken over by Foster & Heanes.

Anyone know how much a minor service(just fluids an filters) will be for a 147 2.0 TS at Alfanatics? Just realised my car needs a service in 100 miles and a pair of rear tyres!
Next month will be expensive.
Was just interested to hear, I'll call him up tomorrow.
He charges £50 an hour labour I think.Next month will be expensive.

I would guess it would be under £200 all in?
