That statement is generic, basically telling you to get the fault diagnosed!

If you take it to a local alfa specialist, they will plug their computer into it and read the fault codes.

It isn't normally anything serious

It's normally nothing at all.

Mine does it from time to time, but AlfaDiag doesn't report any faults.

Unless it does it every time you start the car, ignore it.
