156 sportwagon alarm

hiya! Got a 51 plate sportwagon 2.0 t spark that the alarm is playing up! It started 2weeks ago when the alarm (factory fitted) randomly went off! Now when ever u set it, it beeps like usual then about 5 seconds later it beeps again, then the alarm goes off! Any ideas?

Battery in the car going?

I would say it's the famous Alfa electrics, but as mine have been spot on (I'm still amazed that when a bulb goes the warning is genuine!) I can't honestly slate them.

I would also make sure every door/ bonnet & boot are properly shut!

When you set the alarm if something isn't closed properly it will beep again!

This happened on my 146, all the doors were closed etc. So got fed up of it and just unplugged it.

As above, open and slam every door, boot, bonnet.
