Posting on behalf of a friend.

Hes had a bit of work done on his engine, and is now looking for someone to remap it to get the most out of it.

Can anyone reccomend someone Near or within the M25?

Thanks.

He could try Red Dot but very few places do remaps for the petrol engines.

He'd be better getting a V6 intake pipe and saving his money for cambelt changes.

Wouldn't spend much on it though. There's not a vast difference between the price of a V6 and the price of a twinnie - the cheapest way to make my spider go quicker would be to sell it and buy a V6 one in the same colour rather than faff around with remaps and induction kits.

Reputable tuner in my area reckons on no more than 5 bhp from a better exhaust, induction kit and chip. Better torque though, but simply not worth it for me.

Angel tuning reckon on 25 bhp or something from the same mods as above, but they won't touch anything registered before 2000.

Hes had the engine re-built, and it has a flat spot, so he's looking to loose the flat spot, rather than gain any more power.

I'd start with checking problems shown here under engine before remapping. There shouldn't be a flat spot so something's amiss - usually MAF or lambda.

Get it on a rolling road and have it set up from there then. It'll cost about 50 quid for the test and it'll identify what it is and where it happens, plus the car will get tweaked in the meantime.

Yes they will, they offered to my R-plater last November.
