I've got a fiat coupe 2.0 turbo 20V that is smokey when cold. After firing up it takes about 30 seconds and then starts smoking. After about 2 miles of driving it stops smoking and is fine. Any ideas?

cheers

Turbo seals gone, ready for rebuild. Oil gets down the shaft until heat expands and everythings well again, although will only get worse with time.

Tend to agree with V8, go and have a chat with the guys on the fccuk forum.
If you are near Essex and want it rebuilt get Rog at power italia to do it.

Turbo seals sounds about right, but it could be a stuck waste gate, piston rings or just needs a good service.
