I think you mean a Sportwagon!
biggrin
60,000 miles a year? Blimey! Most comfortable and economical cruiser would be a 1.9JTD Lusso (soon to be a 2.0JTD). The Ti spec looks great but is harder riding and expensive on tyres. 2.4 JTD has more oomph and noise but is a lot thirstier.

It has to the the 1.9jtdm if you need to buy now......But I'd wait for the 2.0jtdm due out soon. the 2.4 doing that sort of mileage would still be better than the 2.2 petrol in terms of fuel consumption but no where near as good as the 1.9jtdm.

As said before the ti is always the right spec to go for (if you can strtech that far financially), but you need to drive it to consider the ride comfort against the Lusso. It is quite a bit harder.

That's a coincidence as my previous car (if you don't count driving the wifes car for a few months) was an Focus ST-3. Doing the sort of mileage you are doing, it must have been a killer on the wallet (or your Company's wallet) as I barely got 28mpg out of mine over 2 years.

The first thing you will notice is the refinement of the 159 over the ST, escpacially on motorway runs. I always thought the ST was a perfect GT type car, which in many ways it was, but the refinement on long journeys isn't a patch on the 159.
