Alfa 156 locking bleeps...

It's a SW, if it makes a difference.
Upon locking her today we noticed after the one long bleep that we normally get, about 5 seconds later there was another short single bleep.
Neither of us remember hearing this before and wonder if it's an alert that we should be taking note of?
'Im indoors reckons it's saying it's locked but not alarmed, either way we're more curious than worried.

Nah the second beep of dispair haunted my 156 ownership (X 2.0Veloce, and 02 GTA) ..
Basically the alarm couldnt set itself for some reason and so it's disabled.. bonnet was a good culprit - check the locking mechanism - something you should do anyway it does get covered in crap and not close properly, leading to the 156 flying bonnet syndrome - there was a service campaign on this that alfa added to the service schedules to lubricate the mechanism...
