I had two 145 Cloverleafs - fantastic cars, great fun to drive and becoming increasingly rare.
Rusty floors is becoming a problem so have a good poke underneath. Listen for knocking from the front suspension over speed humps - the wishbone bushes don't last long. Try to get a good look at the radiator as the fins drop out over time. Check the oil as most will use a bit and they don't like getting run low. Belts and tensioners need doing every 36k or 3 years. If it sounds like a diesel at startup/tickover the variator is worn. Check all the electrics - rear wipers are a common fail. Check rear shocks - O/E ones were rubbish, but most will have been upgraded by now.
Alfa Red looks great, but will fade and that can only be corrected with a re-spray (they are laquered so T-cut won't work!)Leather is a desirable option.
Buy the best you can find/afford - a far cheaper option than trying to fix up an old nail!
There is an excellent owners forum - http://forum.alfa145.com/ (Its down at the moment, but I'm sure it will be back soon!)

Have you thought about a 146?
I have a Ti with leather, in good condition mechanically that I could part with quite cheaply.
