I'm considering one of these in the next few months, need something with better mpg etc smile
For what i'm going to want to pay i think i'm going to end up with a fairly high mileage version.
How does the diesel in the 147 stand up to mileage? Is there anything i should be aware of, checking has been done? (I'm thinknig around 80-90k miles)

TIA
J smile

The 8 valve is practically bombroof.
The 16 valve has a suspect waterpump which ideally wants changing at cambelt time (say every 60,000 to be safe).

Other than that check all electrics work, suspension isn't too noisy and that's about it.
Good stuff here:

Hi there, I have a 147 JTD(8v). And its been brilliant. No problems at all. Make sure belts have been changed at the specified intervals. But as said above. the 8v is very solid.
