I have a 2001 GTV and have had all the usual stuff done (Powerflex rear bushes etc.) to keep it in good order.

I got it back from it's MOT and was advised it needed a new rear anti-roll bar linkage (or something, it was a while ago now!). Since then, I've noticed that when going over certain bumps in the road, the rear sometimes feels like it wants to step out of line and the car does a very unnerving 'shimmy' type thing.

I wondered if it was my imagination so let my dad drive it without mentioning anything to him and the first thing he did was comment on it so I know it's definitely for real.

Any ideas what it might be? I'm going to put it back to my specialist to have a look at of course but any pointers/obvious solutions would be much appreciated as a starting point...

Thanks!

I've only had them in just under two years though - I'd have expected a bit longer from them or is that unrealistic (I've learned that everything associated with the GTV is made out of pasta and no longer even register surprise when I'm told that it's going to cost me another few hundred quid)? Lovely cars but bloody hell, they aren't cheap to run!

There's an odd nodule on the casting at the rear that needs to be filed down otherwise the poly ones don't last long.
