Wondering if anyone has heard of a HID kit for a GT. Heard a lot of horror stories about them and just looking for some advice. I like the shine that you get from these lights but not sure if they'll fcensoredk something up.

HID bulbs require a completely different headlight reflector & lens design to halogen bulbs. Just fitting a cheap aftermarket kit will result in an uncontrolled beam.

Thanks for the help guys smile Dave Brand, would the "uncontrolled beam" result in MOT failure?? Also do you know of any other way of getting HID lights on my car??

Are you just after some brighter lights or do you particularly like the way hids look in the dark.

If the former, then Philips X-Treme bulbs could be a very wise investment.

To be honest it is the bright blue tinge i like although the light off of my GT is a bit poor anyway. Probably gonna get those bulbs you recommended, read a bit about them and they sound pretty good. thumbup
