The Alfa is in for a service today, so taking the opportunity to spend a little cash on a re-tune. Checked the performance (and, cough, economy) improvements and all looks to be pretty impressive, particularly the mid-range for motorway driving and overtaking.

Proper rolling road job, so will report back on the results to anyone who might be interested.

The bright yellow Fiat Panda I got as a courtesy car is a hoot too.

Hi guys.

The re-map would have been a proper rolling road job.

It would have got to around 200BHP

Acceleration would have been improved by a second or so

The mid range from 50-100 would have been highly impressive

I would also have got an extra 5mpg or so.

So, all in all it would have made what is already an impressive car even more impressive.

Only my insurance company wanted to charge me an extra £250 on my premium and also double my excess.

So i decided not to have it done after all......

Hi BJW,

Shame you didnt take the plunge... but your right regarding sizeable the insurance premium!

I've had my 159Ti 2.4 remapped. and assuming you also have the 2.4 you will see increases of alot more than 200hp.

My car was running at 193bhp (was meant to be 210bhp) and 270lbs ft.

Now its up to 250bhp and 430lbs ft!

The difference is amazing! Do it, you know you want to! biggrin
