Great cars, loads of threads on here.
Go for the Cloverleaf (or QV) if you can!

If you get a facelift or junior version, you get the 1.6 but with the same kit as the 2.0. So get the quick rack steering, skirts and spoiler etc just with lower insurance if thats an issue (was for me unfortunately).

Sorry, misleading post. Cloverleaf and QV (Quadrifoglio Verde, Italian for Green Four leaf clover) are the same thing, it's just you will see many posts and references to 145QVs rather than Cloverleafs.

I got a 145 Cloverleaf this summer, mainly as a second car to get to work and back.

I didn't want anything , shall we say 'ordinary', and had looked at old Audi Coupes, Golf GTI's etc , until a friend mentioned the 145. It was one of those 'god i remember those' moments, and from then on I decided that was what I would buy.

I did my homework, tested a couple, and settled on a '98 Proteo Red model with leather and air con. 1 owner, 65,000 miles FSH.

I can honestly say, it is absolutley marvelous! It always puts a smile on my face each time I drive it.

Go for it.
