Got the car out the garage the other day and noticed a green pool of liquid on the floor. Investigation show's that it's washer fluid which is leaking from the headlamp washers on the drivers side only.

What would cause the fluid to leak out even when the car is stationary and I haven't even used the washers?

Split pipe or washer bottle.
Either are a real menace to get to! I solved it on my 145 by only filling the washer bottle half full... redface

Yep agree with above - but my mechanic bodged the leak (pipe out of bottle) with a load of glue! Simple fix and stopped the crying headlights!

there's a valve that's attached the the rear of the front bumper that stops fluid running out of the headlight washers. Its most likely this has failed.
