... in my 145 Cloverleaf.

I check it all the time and it never drinks a drop. Six months have past and it's still on max. Anyone else have this?

Alfa Romeo in no problem what so ever shocker hehe

I ran a completely knackered and abused 100,000 mile 145 QV alongside a brand new and cared for 156 2.0 TS. Same engine in both cars. The 145 hardly used a drop of oil and the 156 drank a litre every 3000 miles consistently from new confused

My GTV used a litre or two over the first few 000 miles of running in.

Since then - nothing, not a drop for 40-something thousand miles.

Then it developed a large leak, which was due to a cracked sump. Now that's been replaced, back to being teetotal!

My 145 drinks oil at the rate of around a litre per thousand miles! Reliable as hell though, over 130,000 miles and counting!

The 156 V6 doesn't ever need to be filled though. Petrol is a different matter yikes

They do seem to vary. My first 145QV was given death from day one and used a lot, second one was run in gently and used very little. First one was much nicer though....

I wonder if driving style or mileage has anything to do with it? Mine is on 26k and generally gets warmed up well, but then spanked as it should biggrin

Nothing to do with the 145, but my 2L 156 hardly used any oil even though I was warned to check it every week, which I did!

I had to top up my 20VT between oil changes for the first time ever yesterday, and that's only because it's recently developed an oil leak from the sump. A while back I mentioned that my car doesn't use oil on the fk forums and I'm sure no-one believed me biggrin

EDIT: That's the F-C-C-U-K forums, stupid auto-censor.

Fuel is probably leaking past the pistons and topping up the oil.

My 156 twinny doesn't use any oil either. Which is odd because *everyone* knows they use heaps of oil...

So's the MAF sensor again I think.....

But yes, she sips only delicately at oil.

My 3.0 GTV uses about 1 litre per 1000 miles. Within tolerance according to the manual.
