Help! What key battery??

Chaps,

The key battery on Mrs Thrusts GTV has gone flat (key not working to unlock doors with the remote).

I'm at work and need to pick up a battery today, what type is it?

Also, I once tried unlocking the car with the non-remote red key and whilst it started okay the alarm kept going off. Would using the brown key stop this?

Using the brown key will not work, the alarm is separate When we had a 96 Spider it had the meta alarm that took either two 2016 batteries or one 2032. As the black key with my 156 does the same (as does my XKR, my old A6) I think that they are probably fairly universal

My GTV key takes 2x2016 - I've never tried putting a single 2032 in there instead.
